Flowers & Donations

Thank you all for your sympathy, prayers and gifts! We have received many and are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from Jorge's friends. We would like to propose the option to those who would spend money on us, to instead donate those funds to either:

• IPSSA (the pool service association Jorge belonged to) selected charity: The Sacramento Sheriff's Toy Project - www.toyproject.org - or
• The Cancer Prevention Coalition - www.preventcancer.com

Services For Jorge

A Catholic mass will be held for Jorge on Friday. Afterward, the Ponces will have an "open house" for friends and family to be together and celebrate his life with a party. Please join us on Friday, July 10th, 2009 @ 11 a.m. for Catholic Mass @Holy Family Catholic Church, 7817 Old Auburn Road, Citrus Heights, CA 95610. R.I.P. Mr.George

George (Jorge) Ponce passed away early July 6th, 2009.

He had been fighting an aggressive cancer for many months and was being cared for by his family through his last weeks. After days of restlessness and pain, he finally became peaceful and died quietly in the night.

He will be sorely missed by his extensive family, good friends, coworkers and customers.

His remains are being prepared for cremation.

When arrangements for his services are made, they will be posted here.
